What did you do before you found success online?
I was a licensed private investigator for 14 years. I worked cases
involving narcotics, homicide, theft, insurance fraud, family law etc.

How did you get started making money on the Internet?
I saw there were tons of people making really serious money on the web.
I started doing research to see how they were doing it. At the time the big thing was selling information. I wrote about what I knew which at the time was centered around my career and then later what I learned about marketing. I created some really ugly basic web pages and made all the newbie mistakes everyone does. But in the end it worked out for me.

When did you decide to become a full time internet marketer?
I had been working hard to juggle my full time investigative duties with my part time entrepreneurial endeavors. There were many evenings when I would drop by the mail box, pick up orders and then head home to spend several hours filing them.

I was making at the time what I thought was good money. You have to understand that I was already earning $60. an hour as a PI. So for me I already sort of thought I was doing pretty well. However, it was hard to ignore the fact that in a matter of a few minutes I could open enough envelopes to very easily earn far more.

I was enjoying a $15. to $25. profit after I subtracted my expenses per order. But the long hours were starting to take their toll. I really loved being a PI but I had a decision to make and I knew I couldn't keep them both up without one or both suffering. And I wanted to give 100% at whatever I ultimately decided to do. I knew I could always go back to being a private eye if things didn't work out. So I went for it.

Was it tough figuring out how to make real money online?
Well, for me I had decided that no matter what it took I was going to make it work. I studied everything I could get my hands on. I spent many long nights sitting in front of my computer. I even fell asleep many times and woke up the next morning from sleeping in my desk chair unaware that I had just passed out from exhaustion. I was extremely dedicated. I can't say that it was easy because it did require effort and discipline. I had to learn to say no to my friends when they invited me to parties and to go out etc. I had to keep my goals in mind. I remember always telling myself that one day I will have all the money I will ever need and then I can go out and do whatever I want, whenever I want to.

When did your big break come?
Well I've actually had several big breaks. I would say that my first big break came when I made the discovery that I could earn $1,000. per sale. And that I could sell that product relatively easy by applying the marketing techniques that I discovered.

My next break came when I landed on the "Making Money" infomercial with Don Lapre. I had sent Don a letter trying to recruit him in to a MLM program I was involved with at the time. In the last paragraph I mentioned that I had purchased his package and had enjoyed success with it. His producer called me up and after a short interview, invited me to appear with Don on TV. I had a blast and it was a great trip out to California. This brought me a lot of free publicity and my telephone rang for years as a result. To this day I still get calls from people who tell me they saw me on TV.

When did you start making really serious money?
Well, I made what I thought was really serious money my very first week of joining what is my primary business opportunity today. Some 14 years ago when I first got started with it I earned $7,000. my very first week. I maintained a level head and simply told myself it was most likely a fluke and just kept doing what I was doing. As the weeks went by my income continued to grow and before long I knew I had found my calling.

How did the marketing system that you created come to be?
I knew the business opportunity I was involved with was a winner. I mean after all it pays $1,000. per sale. I also knew that if I could come up with a system that would help lots of other people duplicate the same success I was having life would be extremely good for me. I did and it is!

How does your marketing system work, and can anyone use it even if they are not involved in the same business opportunity as you?
I've done a lot of research. I'm constantly on the lookout for new and innovative ways to promote my products and services and to also help my clients do the same. Over the years I've also discovered some very key elements that must be in place in order to enjoy real success with any business opportunity. Why do you feel the "average" person simply can not figure out how to have real success in any home based business opportunity?
Well this is certainly a very common question. And my answer is gonna be on point and just may ruffle a few feathers to say the very least. But is is what it is. The good news is simply that it doesn't have to be what it is for you!

It's true, 95% of the "average" people who join a business opportunity never make any money with it. Why? Well, first we have to define what "average" means. And then afterwards you can decide whether or not you want to be "average" andf follow the rest of the sheep blindly or blaze your own path of success to where people will want to follow you.

Here's some very interesting facts:

USA Today: The average home has more TVs than people.
USA Today: The average TV is on 8 hours and 14 minutes per day.
ABC News: 14% of Americans are functionally illiterate.
National Institute of Health: 1 in 4 people have a "mood disorder", are depressed, and / or are medicated.

73% of the 10,000 people polled admitted to goofing off while at work.
48% of these same people said they were surfing the net while at work.
44.7% said they socialized or gossiped with coworkers while at work.
30% took care of personal business while at work.

70% said they hated their job.

So now you have a general idea of what the "average" person is all about. Now let's take a look at what happens when the "average" person joins a home based business opportunity or buys any type of make money package, course, DVD or book etc.

In most cases, less than 10% of the people who purchase a making money course of any kind ever read past the first chapter. And even fewer of those ever attempt to implement anything! It's sad. It's also very true.

I've had people call me up and say... "Britt there is so much information here. There's just too much for me to go through". These are the very same people who will go off and buy another course or join another program hoping to find an easier faster method of making money.

The "average" person lives in a perpetual state of anger, depression and misery. They stubbornly refuse to do ANYTHING to improve the quality of their lives, they do nothing to increase their income, and this is true even faced with financial devastation such as the loss of a job, car, home etc. These same people would rather complain, gossip and blame others rather than be accountable for their own failure and implement simple ACTION which could bring life changing benefits.

It starts with having the right attitude. The "average" person has a really bad attitude for all the reasons mentioned above and several I didn't. Their attitude is pure poison and this poison is very easily spread to those around them. And when you've got more than one person who suffers from these things enabling one another, it can be tough to shake. It's a deadly recipe for disaster. However, if you truly expect to become successful and to change your life, you have got to find a way to get away from these kinds of obstacles because they are like quicksand. They will eat away at you and continue to suck you down and hold you there forever. It is a vicious cycle that has consumed the lives of so many and has prevented a lot of people who could have really made something of themselves and lived a much different life.

What advice do you have for people who want to make serious money by starting their own business?
The first thing you've got to do is stop listening to anyone in life unless they are doing better than you and can help you!!! The world is full of arm chair lawyers, quarterbacks etc. And these people always seem to have all the answers but in reality don't know a dam thing that will actually really help you. Sure they are full of advice but that's not the only thing they are full of!

Second I would strongly advise you to cut the negativity out of your life. If you are surrounded by negative people it tends to rub off on you and keep you in a constant state of negativity. And this is never going to help you rise above the poison I talked about earlier on this page. Look at it this way...

You will be so much better off surrounding yourself with like minded positive people who are already where you want to be in life. Who are already doing exactly what you want to do with your life. And even if you don't have direct access to someone who is doing what you ultimately want to do, at least try to find people you can hang out with who have a positive outlook on life.

Where's a good source for positive influences if I don't have direct access to any positive role models in my life?
That's easy. You do have direct access to many positive role models. I'm one and there are many others. You can call me Monday - Saturday 9AM to 9PM EST at 804-897-2274. You can also go to your local bookstore where you will find literally hundreds of books, each jam-packed with positive influence and a huge wealth of information.

My friends say that all money making programs are a SCAM, how do I convince them otherwise?
That's another easy one. You don't! Don't even waste your time, energy, or effort. Simply pursue your own dreams and don't try to bring the limited belief, closed minded thinkers onboard to your way of thinking. Always remember that those people will never achieve anything in life until (if ever) they change their thinking and their attitude toward life.

I went to a high school reunion a while back and had so much fun catching up with many friends. Of course there were lots of people some of which I was friends with and some not so much. The one thing that I took away from the event was that no matter what the relationship is, there will always be people in your life that will either make excuses or make things happen. The difference is simply who is willing to take ACTION. The ones who are willing to take action are the ones who will make things happen. Sadly the ones who refuse to do anything but make excuses, well they will make their bed and have to lie in it. And despite it being incredibly uncomfortable, the excuse makers just can't seem to understand they need to make a better bed to lie in!

While I was at the reunion I met two totally separate types of people. The first were my friends. These were the people who were thrilled to see me. They were really excited and happy to discover that I had made it in life. They told me they were thrilled I was living the good life and one guy even actually told me he was really proud of me for all the accomplishments. He said... "Britt you've really made something out of your life".

The other type was people who you could just tell were excuse makers. They were the ones who had smart comments to make such as mow much gas my Hummer requires and what it's doing to the environment etc. Those people in every case were not anywhere in life they really wanted to be. It was very interesting (but not all all shocking or surprising) that many of the positive people asked me how they could change the quality of their life while the others played the arm chair role and danced around a variety of topics trying really hard to make sure the conversation didn't land anywhere near taking real action to make positive things happen.

I'm also reminded of my uncle Phil. Phil's a great guy but he's also one of those family members that always used to ask me in a loud voice (when there were lots of other family members around to hear) "Britt how's that internet business doing?" Year after year I would say Phil it's doing well. He always looked at me with this look. One year we were attending an family auction and Phil noticed my Lexus parked out front and it didn't take him long to put 2 and 2 together since it had Virginia tags and he knew I was living in VA. Phil comes up to me and says... wow a new Lexus that sure is a sharp looking ride. What kind of payments did you get? My response was... "I got the best deal I could get zero down and zero a month." He looked puzzled until I revealed to him that I paid cash for the total amount and didn't need to get a loan. It was funny because a couple years back when I did the exact same thing to buy my $65,000. Hummer H2 I thought about that moment with uncle Phil and it brought a smile to my face.

My point here is that sometimes the easiest way to demonstrate to other people is to let them see that you have moved forward with your life. Some people just will never respond to anything else. And the sad reality is actually that many including our own friends and family members do not want us to succeed. It's true. You see, if you start making great accomplishments in life it changes things. It sets the bar higher for those around you. And it is when this starts to happen that you really start to see just who your real friends are.

Always remember this when you start making money. A real friend or loving family member will never ask you for money but everyone else will. Spend your money where it will count and help as many others along the way as you can.

How hard is it to really make money online?
The truth is that making money online is not as hard as most people think. You just have to be willing to do the things that most people simply aren't willing to do. And here's the thing, it's not that the things you need to do are all that tough to do. You just have to be willing to do them. It's really just that simple. The "average" person wants something for nothing. They want to go to bed poor and wake up rich. They have what I call the "lottery mentality" and it's what prevents them from ever having anything. Have you ever heard the expression - anything worth having is worth working for, well it's so true. That doesn't mean the work part has to be hard. You just have to take action and so something!

There are so many really effective ways to make money online these days. And the great news is that it will only get better. There are countless people who each started with a dream and a desire. And they simply did the things most aren't willing to do. And now they are enjoying life and making the kind of money that most people never will. It's all about action and reward.

I see that you have a lot going on, how do you successfully stay on top of it all?
Currently I have 22 active web sites, 12 YouTube channels, multiple Twitter accounts, several blogs, and a growing list of DVD titles I've personally produced, Yes it is a lot! However, I didn't build this portfolio if you will overnight. It took me some time to put everything together. It took time to test each element and to make tweaks when necessary. I'm always testing and seeing what works and what doesn't. It's all part of it.

As far as management goes, I sort of kept this in mind while building each site and creating each product or service that I offer. I wanted to make sure that when it came time to fulfill the order that I could do it quickly and efficiently while at the same time maintaining very high quality products, services, and customer service for my clients and customers. It's not really all that hard once you understand the flow of things and how to work smarter instead of harder. This is true with most things.

Do you have other employees or is it just you?
No believe it or not it is just me. I prefer to work alone. I have my work flow down to a science. I'm an action taker. I take action. I get things done. When I have an idea for a new product or service, I immediately act on it. I get it done.

I'm able to offer excellent customer service hours of 9AM to 9PM EST Monday - Saturday because I've built my product and service sites meticulously to include very detailed information on both the site and in the included autoresponder campaign series. This helps defer a ton of questions I would otherwise get which would bog me down and take up much more time. As it is I generally only get calls from people who have already taken the time to carefully review one of my web sites prior to calling me. Then it simply becomes a matter of answering a few closing questions and taking their order.

What kind of office do you have?
I have a very sweet office setup! My office is in my home. I have about a 45 second commute each day. I have a six thousand square foot house. When I had it built I made sure my office was laid out the way I wanted it to ensure I could be as productive as possible. My office is in the basement. It is 1,400 square feet.

I have six computers networked plus two wireless laptops I can take with me around the house or outside etc. So if I get tired of being in the office I can sit out on the porch or the deck or lay in the hammock etc. Who said you had to be trapped in a office or otherwise be uncomfortable while you're making money? I don't subscribe to the theory that one must work 9 to 5 chained to a desk. I do spend several hours per day in my office but it is on my terms and because I want to.

I have a 67" wall mounted plasma monitor with a Smart Board overlay which is in front of my conference table and podium. This is where I do the bulk of my webinar events and also where I host office meetings and seminars etc. from time to time.

I do quite a bit with audio and video production so I have a full green screen that measures 8' x 30' as well as thousands of dollars worth of video production equipment such as lights, cameras, software etc.

How are you able to answer your telephone 12 hours a day, six days every week and still have a life?
it starts with the decision I made when I started my company. I decided that I was going to treat my business as a real business and not a part time hobby. I have set business hours of 9AM to 9PM EST. And I do answer my telephone live during those hours. However, it doesn't mean that I have to sit in my office during those hours. I have a cell phone with nationwide coverage. This provides the flexibility I need to leave my office when I want without leaving my customers, clients and prospective new business behind. I simply forward my office calls to my cell and I can go anywhere I want.

How much money have you made?
I've been blessed to be one of the all time top income earners in the history of the primary business opportunity I've been part of for over 14 years. That is a long time to be in the same program. During this time I've made some incredible money. Results of course vary in every business but the question asked about me so here's what I will tell you. My best single day of income put more than $37,000. in my pocket. I've generated over $31,900. in just 25 minutes before. That was a great day! I've generated many thousands in a few days lots of times. However it is very important that you understand that the money I've made took real effort, time, and consistent action.

What's your best advice for someone who needs to make a lot of money really fast but doesn't have any money to get started or simply doesn't want to invest in anything?
Go buy a lottery ticket. I say this not to be a smart ass but to be a realist. If you have no money to invest or you aren't willing to invest anything then you significantly limit your options. At least by buying a lottery ticket you stand a chance of possibly making the money you seek however slim that chance may be. Let me put it this way, playing the lottery is much more of a risk than a business opportunity. At least with the business opportunity you can take action and produce fruit from your efforts.

I'm really in a tough situation, will you send me some money to help me out of a jam?
Believe it or not I get this question more often than you might think. I'm sure my answer will not shock or surprise you. The answer is no. I am not a bank. I'm in business to make money like every other business owner. I get emails all the time from people asking me to send them $50., $100., $500. etc. I guess some people simply have no pride.

I will do something far more valuable than simply giving you money. I will teach you how to generate all the money you will ever need. But you have to be willing to follow what I teach you and implement the tips, techniques and effective strategies. I could send you a check for $50. but what good would it do you? Sure you would spend it but then what? How did you benefit from it other than financially? I would much rather show you how to have real success so that you can in turn pass what you learn on to others to help make their lives better.

What can I do if I don't have much money to get started with anything?
Any time I get a call from someone asking this question I always send them HERE. This is one of my sites that I've set up just for this reason. It's actually a way you can generate between $600. and $800. in a few days. It's not hard to implement and if you will just do it, you will make money with it. This system and concept have helped thousands of people out of a jam. Many have fallen in love with it and turned it in to a full time career!

How did you get started in graphic and web design?
When I first got started online I really didn't have any money to pay others to design for me. I had two choices, save my money and wait until I could afford to pay someone to do it, or figure out how to do it myself. I'm also a pretty creative person so it came pretty natural to me. I love the creative design process of building blogs and websites as well as creating custom virtual cover designs, squeeze pages etc. I design all of my sites myself. I also design sites and custom graphics for many of the top marketers you see online today. I enjoy it and they tell me it shows in my work. They also tell me I don't charge enough!

What's the best way to become wealthy?
Find a high ticket sales commission program, join it, and learn how to properly promote it. This will bring you the fastest income over anything else. The program I've been so passionate about all these years pays me between $1,000. and $22,705. per sale. And it doesn't take many of these sales to quickly add up in to very significant weekly income.

How do you choose products and services to promote?
They must either provide a solution to a problem or somehow make peoples lives better. This is the formula that always works. There are a lot of people on this planet. And finding the right niche market isn't really that much of a challenge. This does not mean you can simply create a product and it will sell. Just because you like it does not guaranteed anyone else will. For me I always look at the trends to see what people are spending money on. I also look at technology and social networking sites, ClickBank Marketplace, blogs etc. There are so many really great resources around the web.

Which of your DVD titles is your personal favorite?
This is really a tough question. It's like asking a musician which of their albums is their favorite. Each title is a labor of love and I'm very passionate about all of them. I offer a variety of DVD titles in a variety of niches.

I would have to say that one of my favorites is "Free Gas - How to Easily Save an Average of $20. to $60. Every Time You Stop For Gas. It's a very popular title for obvious reasons. How do you come up with the ideas for the video content you create for your sites and for your YouTube channels?
Well part of it is simply me just saying what comes to mind while the camera is on. I rarely use a script or a teleprompter. I just think about the things that I think will look good and do a really good job of conveying my marketing message in the best way possible. After I shoot the video, next I take it to the editing software where I throw in extra touches that make it pop and enhance the message a bit.

How do you keep your YouTube video channels organized and come up with a steady stream of new content for them?

I enjoy working with video. I usually try to set aside Friday's to shoot new video for my various channels. As for how I come up with new fresh content, I just talk about the things I believe my channel subscribers would appreciate based on the niche of the channel. I always strive to be as helpful as possible and to give something of real value every time. I also have a grid I made up that lists each channel and includes a space where I can enter notes for video ideas.

What can I do to advertise my business locally that is effective but not expensive?
This is a very common question. I love this one because I've got a super effective tip that works really well. Not only is it effective, you can implement it yourself and get 10,000 local people looking at your ad at zero cost to you plus you can easily put several hundred dollars in your pocket in a few days all at the same time... How do you decide what to charge for your products and services?
This is an excellent question. Really your price depends on what the market will bear. Sure you want to be fair about pricing your products and services, however you never want to under price them as it directly relates to your content quality. Otherwise you are giving away your work for much less than the value and you are also creating a marketplace where people will start to associate you with only low priced offerings. This can be good if it is all you ever want to offer but you really should make every effort to provide high quality content because there is a large market for it. You also have to make sure you don't price yourself out of the market at the same time. There have been many times when smart marketers have simply raised their price and had it outsell a much lower price point. This is where testing comes in to play.

Are you available for in person meetings?
Yes. I meet with people a lot actually. I prefer it whenever possible. I like people. I enjoy meeting people and figuring out how I can help make their lives better. It's one of my passions in life.
